Deaths power
Heavy rain pelts the glass pane relentlessly.
I feel it is close for its icy tendrils cling to me and chill me to my core.
The darkness looms over me as the lights grow dimmer.
I see lightning pierce the darkness only to be consumed by it.
It is unstoppable for everything must bow before it.
Despite how much I fight I still falter.
I don’t want to go!
But even stars are tossed aside in the face of its power.
My time is up.
Death has come for me.
