Joe_Jaggers Posted October 26, 2013 Have you traveled through the night The cold moon calling with its light To desire in its kiss Heavenly bliss Hungry for the warmth of home A touch safely intimate and known Filling you until you cried And had the only cure denied? The first time I fell, I descended into hell And as your hurt was at its worst The numbness when your heart had burst The mighty hands that lifted you From a grave to face the true? Alone with your thoughts, star-bright A cigarette and the silent, holy night No time to spare, to buy or spend Singing silent at the end? The first time I fell, I descended into hell The second death, rebirth I came back to earth And when the fear at last had failed And your anger banged its final nail And your longing- silenced memory Did you know that you were free? Did you let go in the moonlight Being pulled through starry skies? Did your heart expand in empty bliss To merciful forgetfulness? The first time I fell, I descended into hell The second death, rebirth I came back to earth The third time I'll fly Into heavenly skies For I can truly say That now I know the way.
