I'm looking for new, brilliant movies... - The Rainbow Lounge

I watched this wonderful film just a few days ago: Hugo. It was visually-striking, well directed, the acting (even the dog's) was absolutely immaculate. The plot was intriguing, and the artisan-ship...well...il est parfait! Tres beau, vert. Now, I'm slightly in a movie mood.

My personal favorites:
Donnie Darko
Pulp Fiction
Death Proof
Sweeny Todd
Felice and Amiee (LBGT movie)
Pan's Labyrinth
The Shining
Fight Club
Inception
Pink Floyd: The Wall
Rocky Horror Picture Show (LBGT movie)
Patrik: 1.5 (LBGT movie)
I'm a Cyborg, but that's OK
Hugo
Mirror Mask
Nightmare Before Christmas
Beetle Juice
Alice In Wonderland
Itty Bitty Titty Committee (LBGT movie)
The Odd Life of Timothy Green
Benjamin Button
Breakfast at Tiffany's
The Green Mile
Orphan

Suggestions?

"Who's Killing the Greatest Chefs of Europe" is a good comedy if you like comedies. Jacqueline Bisset does a great job as 'Natasha'. I liked "Love and Death" with Woody Allen and Diane Keaton. The miniseries, "Peter the Great" is excellent, with Maximilian Schell...........

The Fall. Visually stunning with many exotic locations tied into a story told by an injured stunt man to a little girl with a broken arm.

I love watching films. One film that really struck a chord for me recently was "Let the right one in" the original Swedish film of a young boys friendship with a strange little girl, they both have problems, Oskar is awfully bullied, and Elie is a vampire. Ok it has subtitles as it is in Swedish, but this version is so very much better than the American remake "Let me in".

Ah! I never was able to watch the American version, but I saw the Swedish, and that one was intense! I'd have to add it to my favourites, as well!
