remember when, back then)

you

were

laying on the sand

the waves caressed against the shores

and the skies were fond of the dark

your smile was a
petulant fiend

(treacherous of your sorrowful mask)
of friendly words, and friendly laughs

i dare not utter to ask.

it was night,
(like any other night)
at peace we found on the shore.

except this time the stars burned bright
and
beyond
the
sea,

i found eternity,
i knew i could be no more.

Beautiful. I especially liked that line: "and the skies were fond of the dark". This poem has so much to offer. I would love to see another poem about the night sky discussed in this poem.
