Diana of Wales really loved Gay people and did much to help us. She died fifteen years ago this week (Aug. 31). We will always remember her and her kindness toward us, her love for us. Indeed, History remembers people primarily for what they do to others or for others. I wrote the following sonnet for her, in September, 1997-- shortly after her death.

Great Diana, the world mourns for thee,

Gentle Queen of hearts now broken;

May Angel Princes of Heaven call to you sweetly:

Bring you swiftly to blissful Heaven---

Earth weeps her soft lament;

For you made the sky seem bluer---

Not since Helen has your like been seen:

The Stars acclaim you a peer in their firmament;

Ancient Constellations your beauty admire:

Privileged were we to love thee, kind and noble Queen.
