((Just a side note, we all possess no small amount of significance, don't let anyone tell you or make you feel otherwise. I wanted to tell all who have been encouraging my poetry thank you, it means so much to me. God bless and hugs to all!))

A little ant I am, you see,
Or perhaps not for I am as small as can be,
An ant whose place is to trek and follow,
An ant who has no pride to swallow,
Insignificant I might seem,
But significance is only worth once deemed,
Upon my back my world is carried,
For without this weight my life is harried,
My role is larger and larger still,
For I bear fare to an ant hill,
Without me some lives would perish,
Small I am but I am cherished.

A falling leaf I am, you see,
Or perhaps not for my siblings hide me,
In a cascade of color as we sway to the ground,
The wind moves us gently and a rustle we sound,
Insignificant I might seem,
But significance is only worth once deemed,
My dying veins hold life to feed,
The growing tree sprouting from seed,
Many I am and there are more still,
Yet I am a part of the world's constant will,
Without me some lives would be doomed,
Many I am but I feed the bloom.

A simple man I am, you see,
Or perhaps not for I could be,
Mistaken for another with a similar trait,
Such as a smile or a modest gait,
Insignificant I might seem,
But significance is only worth once deemed,
I may not be another but I am who I am,
I am not the lion nor am I the lamb,
My life is my own and I will do what I will,
Though a mistaken identity may sadden me still,
I may never know what could or should be,
I enjoy who I am so I will stay me.
