LOVER'S CROSS ... (NEW POEM) IN HONOR OF EASTER HEARTACHE ... - Poetry Group

I must say I'm like Jesus on this cross.

I've sacrificed my soul and all for you.

I wonder where you are, I'm at a loss.

You don't pick up your phone, you never do.

I feel like I'm on the Three Cross Hill

as nails plaster me to this some wood stake.

You stone my heart, suppose you always will.

True, worshiping a man was my mistake.

Perhaps I will just bleed to death and die,

with your indifference as my thorny crown.

suppose I'm just some fun to crucify?

You do yet do not wish - to take me down.

The father, son, the Holy Ghost, three days ...

the pretty eggs the Easter Bunny lays!

I like it. As I've said here before, I don't like poetry but yours was easy to read although it is dark. Good job!

Impressions of pain though harsh hold life lessons yet to be understood Devon. Passionate poem. Loved it. Thanks for sharing. x
